Management Team Biographies
Eagle Tax is an affiliate of United
Financial Services Group, a pioneer in
the financial services industry. United
was founded in 1977 and has been
franchising United Check Cashing service
centers since 1992. Additionally,
several of our executives are or have
been franchisees themselves from a
variety of business formats, so they
know what front line business operators
need to succeed in a competitive retail
environment.
Chairman, President and Chief Executive
Officer: Rocco Fiorentino
Rocco Fiorentino has served as the
Chairman and President of Eagle since
its incorporation. He is also a Member
of Eagle Tax Services, LLC (“Eagle
LLC”), a Pennsylvania limited liability
company and shareholder of Eagle.
Additionally, Mr. Fiorentino joined
United Financial Services Group, Inc.
(“United”), an affiliate of Eagle, in
May 2003 as a Director and assumed the
positions of President and Chairman in
February 2005. Mr. Fiorentino has
experience as both franchisor and
franchisee. From March 2001 to February
2005, Mr. Fiorentino served as President
of Freedom Rings, LLC, an area developer
and franchisee of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and
Delaware. From January 1985 through
December 2001, he was President of
Specialty Bakeries, a division of New
World Restaurant Group, Inc. New World
is the franchisor of Manhattan Bagels,
Einstein Bros. Bagels, Chesapeake
Bagels, New World Coffee and
Willoughby’s Coffee. Mr. Fiorentino
holds a Master of Science in Management
(MSM) from the Richard D. Irwin Graduate
School at American University and is
also an International Franchise
Association Certified Franchise
Executive (CFE). Fiorentino is an active
member of the International Franchise
Association (IFA) and is a member of the
Franchisor Forum.
Director: Paul Del Borrello
Paul Del Borrello currently serves as a
member of Eagle’s Board of Directors and
also as a member of United’s Board of
Directors. He developed the United Check
Cashing concept (the concept franchised
by United) and served as United’s
President from its date of incorporation
through 2000. Mr. Del Borrello served as
President of the Pennsylvania
Association of Financial Service Centers
and was a board member of the Financial
Service Centers of America through 2005.
Director, Treasurer, Secretary and Chief
Financial Officer: John Leonard
John Leonard has served as a Director of
Eagle and as its Treasurer, Secretary
and Chief Financial Officer since its
incorporation. He is also a Member of
Eagle LLC, a shareholder of Eagle.
Additionally, Mr. Leonard has served as
United’s Comptroller since 1993 and
assumed the role of acting President
from 2003-2005. He supervises Eagle’s
and United’s financial matters and is
involved in other aspects of Eagle’s and
United’s operations and development. Mr.
Leonard developed United’s proprietary
software and training program and had
significant responsibility for creating
its business model.
Director: Keld Alstrup
Keld Alstrup has served as a Director of
Eagle since its incorporation. He is
also a Member of Eagle’s shareholder
Eagle, LLC. Since 1997 Mr. Alstrup has
been President of FranNet, New
York/Connecticut, a franchise consulting
company that represents dozens of
franchise concepts in all types of
businesses and investment levels. In
that capacity, Mr. Alstrup assists and
coaches clients in finding franchise
opportunities and educates clients and
the public about franchising in general.
Since 2002, Mr. Alstrup has served as a
Director of the Community Bank of
Orange, based in Middletown, NY. He has
been a partner in A & M Enterprises, a
United Financial Services Group, Inc.
franchisee since 2000. Mr. Alstrup holds
a Masters Degree in Business
Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson
University.
Director: Jonathan Goldner
Jonathan Goldner has served as a
Director of Eagle since its
incorporation. Mr. Goldner is a founder
of and partner in the accounting firm
Goldner, Papandon, Childs and DeLuccia,
LLC and has held that position since
November 2005. Prior to the formation of
Goldner, Papandon, Childs and DeLuccia,
LLC, Mr. Goldner was a sole practitioner
and operated his own accounting firm,
Jonathan H. Goldner, CPA, from February
1997 through October 2005. From November
1997 through December 2005, Mr. Goldner
served as President and 50% stockholder
of Quick Pro Tax Services, an
independent income tax preparation
service.
Vice President of Development: Wayne
Barry
Wayne Barry serves as Eagle’s Vice
President of Development to oversee and
expand the growth of the Eagle brand.
Since March 2004, Mr. Barry has been the
Vice President of Development for
United. In that capacity he oversees and
works to further expand the growth of
United. From October 1999 until March
2004, he served as Director of Franchise
Development for New World Restaurant
Group, whose brands include Manhattan
Bagel, Chesapeake Bagel Bakery, Einstein
Bros. Bagels, Noah’s Bagels, and New
World Coffee. From October of 1996
through January 1999, he was the
Director of Franchise Licensing for
Rita’s Water Ice Franchise Corporation,
based in Bensalem, PA. Since 1999, Mr.
Barry has been a Rita’s Water Ice
franchisee and is currently an owner of
three Rita’s Water Ice franchises.
Vice
President of Operations: Christopher Fox
Christopher Fox currently serves as Vice
President of Operations for both Eagle
and United. Mr. Fox is responsible for
operations systems and support for Eagle
and United. He has been with United
since its incorporation in 1991 and
previously served as the Director of
Operations and as an Operations Manager
and a District Manager for United. From
1983 to 1991, he worked for the
principals of United in their various
partnership centers as Operations
Manager.
General Counsel: Cynthia Clark, Esquire
Cynthia Clark serves as Eagle’s in-house
counsel to oversee legal matters. Ms.
Clark practiced civil litigation with
various Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, law
firms since 1995 until joining United in
February 2007. From September 2002
through the time she joined United, Ms.
Clark practiced civil litigation with
the firm of Bochetto & Lentz, P.C.
During 2002, Ms. Clark also performed
legal services in a variety of legal
areas on a contract basis. From 1996
through 2001, Ms. Clark practiced civil
litigation with the firm of Klehr,
Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg & Ellers LLP.
Director of Training: Lisa Sabatino
Lisa Sabatino is the Director of
Training for both Eagle and United. Ms.
Sabatino joined United in October 2003.
Ms. Sabatino’s responsibilities with
Eagle and United include all aspects of
training, both initial and ongoing, that
Eagle provides to our franchisees, as
well as Operations Manual development.
For three years prior to joining United
in 2003, Ms. Sabatino was Training
Manager for Dollar Financial Group. From
1989-2000, she was Senior Field Trainer
and Territory Manager for News America
Marketing.
Director of Real Estate: Joseph DiMeo
Joseph DiMeo is responsible for
assisting in finding sites for our
franchisees and reviewing proposed
leases. Mr. DiMeo is also the Director
of Real Estate for United, where he
assists in finding sites for United
franchisees and reviews proposed leases.
From 1997-2003, he was Director of
Property for Dollar Financial Group and
performed similar functions. He was also
a franchisee, owning an Atlanta Bread
Company franchise.
